Robert Joseph "Bob" Martel Jr., 53 of Urbana, passed away, Thursday, July 15, 2010 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1957 in Dover, New Hampshire.

Bob enjoyed listening to music, working on computers or any other type of electronics. He was a true artist; he enjoyed oil painting and photography. He was a master at Gears of War - Game. He wanted to help children in any way he could; to be a good roll model or a "dad".
He was a devoted Christian and loved his Bible.

Bob is survived by his soul mate of 20 plus years, Wanda G. Driver, their children, Amanda & Cody Russell, Charity Martel, twins, Adam Martel & Ashley Martel, Brad Van Hoose all of Urbana and Raven Walke of Columbus, his 1st grandson, Michael Aiden Barnette, who will grow up knowing him as Coolpop, as well as many other children in the neighborhood who knew him as "Dad".
