Robin E. Smith (Stokes) of Urbana passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born January 2, 1959, the first baby of the New Year in Champaign County, to Marion and Winnie (Davis) Stokes.

Robin was a 1977 graduate of Urbana High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

She is survived by her parents; her loving husband of 32 years, David E. of Urbana; son, Matthew Smith of Columbus; daughter, Shannon Smith of Springfield; brothers, Bruce (Ida) Stokes of Albany, Ohio and Keith (Diane) Stokes of Longview, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 in the St. Mary Catholic Church Urbana, with the Rev. Fr. Gregory Konerman officiating.

Burial of the cremated remains will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodstock Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robin's memory to Cancer Association of Champaign County P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
