Adella May Baker 87 of Marysville, formerly of North Lewisburg, passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Gables at Green Pastures.
She was born August 6, 1924 in Urbana, the daughter of Jim and Sherla (Foster) Randall.
Adella volunteered at Union County Memorial Hospital with the Meals on Wheels program, with her husband for many years. She enjoyed working with flowers, gardening, hunting mushrooms and needlepoint.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Raymond) Burkhammer of North Lewisburg, her sons, Steve (Debbie) Baker of Prospect and Bill (Becky) Baker of North Lewisburg, daughter-in-law, Melony Baker of East Liberty, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; her sisters, Christine Cremeans of West Mansfield, Mary (Richard) Wilson of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, Dorothy Randall; her husband, Roger Baker, a son, Gary Baker and her brothers and sisters, Ed, Earl, Ruth, Beulah and Florence.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon with Pastor Max Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
Memorial contributions may be made in Adella’s honor to the donor’s favorite charity.
