Aja Q. Bean, 38 of Urbana, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, far too soon, on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Mount Carmel East.

Aja was born in Columbus, Ohio to her birth parents, Juan and Linda "Hope" (Crosswhite) Chavis and was raised and adopted by Asbell B. and Bonnie (Crosswhite) Bean Jr. She enjoyed cooking, reading, taking care of others, movies and music, including her favorite groups, Jessie McCartney, Bruno Mars and New Kids on the Block. She loved hanging out with family, especially sister, Lucia and best friend, Shawn.

Aja is survived by her birth mother, Linda "Hope" Crosswhite - Chavis; siblings, Veronica Dunn, Phillip Bean Sr., Michael (Jamie) Bean, Lance Bean, Donnell, Lauren, Brandon, Brittany & Lucia Lucas and Shane Favours; nephews, Tracey II, Jalen (Amber), Alex, Phillip Jr., Jordan, Michael II, Marquis, Matthew, Nicholas and Lennox; nieces, London, Arianna, Me'Khia, Mercedes, Gabriella, Kamyla, Victoria (Darrell), Brittany and Allie; several great nieces and nephews; godchildren, Milena, Rylan and Lucas Beafore; best friends, Shawn Beaty Bennett, Danika Beafore, and Amica Gardner and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Rainey; parents, Asbell B. and Bonnie Bean Jr.; grandparents, Harrison and Evelyn Crosswhite; uncles and aunts, Kenneth (Beverly) Lucas and Harrison and Terry Crosswhite; brother, Courtney Shawn Lucas; cousin, Leslie Lucas and her birth father, Juan Chavis.

Aja was an organ recipient of a kidney in 2016 and proudly an organ donor where she was able to provide life for others with her liver, eyes (Corneas) and skin tissue for transplant and donating her lungs for research and biopsy.

Per the family's request masks are recommended.

A Homegoing service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Jerusalem Second Baptist Church, 1036 S. High St., Urbana, Ohio with Pastors, Rev. Carl Vactor and Rev. Michael Freeman officiating.
