Amy Michelle Longberry, 36, of North Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 in her home.
She was born December 4, 1978 in Marysville, the daughter of Larry and Sharon (Phelps) Longberry.
Amy was a 1997 graduate of Triad High School. She earned her real estate license and insurance license. Amy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and companion. She loved spending time with her children. She loved Kevin. Amy found pleasure in helping others and found comfort in Christ and the Bible. She was devoted to her family and her community. She was very proud of her winning slogan for the Village of North Lewisburg, “Where family, friends, and traditions stay for a lifetime.”
She is survived by her parents; her husband and best friend of over 20 years, Kevin Thomas; her sons, Trae Anthony Kiss, Damian Bailey Thomas, Cameron Drew Thomas, and Caleb Lee Thomas; brother, Tyson Ray Longberry; sister, Nicole Marie Lee; maternal grandmother, Alice Arlene Phelps; nieces and nephews, Hannah and Jenna Longberry, Jalen, Jordan, Jevin, and Maleah Edley; uncles, Gary Longberry, Gary (Stephanie) Phelps, Dennis Phelps, Steven (Connie) Phelps, Daniel Longberry, and Doug (Amelia) Phelps; aunts, Marilyn (Robert) Wilgus, Pamela Spain, Judith Jackson, Linda Rutan, Alicia (Carl) Davis; father-in-law, Randy Thomas; mother-in-law, Ann Thomas; and brothers-in-law, Fred (Gail) Stokes and Jeremy (Amity) Stokes.
Amy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Virgil & Barbara Longberry; maternal grandfather, Robert Phelps; uncles, Paul Rutan and Daniel Spain; aunt, Ann Longberry.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
