Betty L. Krugh, 80 of Springfield, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 in her residence.
She was born July 29, 1928 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Thomas & May (Burks) McCafferty.
Betty retired after 28 years of services working at the Canteen for International Harvester; she was fondly known as “Canteen Mom”. She thoroughly enjoyed fishing.
Betty loved her family.
She is survived by her sons, Ray (Nancy) Krugh & John (Lori) Krugh both of Springfield, her daughter, Della (Harry) Barber of Enon, her grandchildren, Lori, Ray, John, Alicia and Mike Krugh, great grandchildren, John, Gary & Kaydenn, as well as numerous nieces & nephews of several generations.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her granddaughter, Jennifer, her sisters, Margaret Huff & Irene Petticrew and her brothers, John T. McCafferty, Walt, Alan & William Broderick.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008 in the funeral home with Pastor John Long officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cable, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Regional Office, 2808 Reading Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45206
