Billie “Bill” Farley, 66, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
He was born December 28, 1950 in Delbarton, West Virginia.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he later retired as a dental technician. He then went on to work for 20 years at Matai, Inc., in Springfield before retiring a second time. Bill was a devout Christian and an elder member of New Life Christian Church. He was currently on the Mechanicsburg Village Council, serving since 1988. Bill loved woodworking, Donald Duck, reading – especially Christian books, and was a supporter of the Sycamore House, Operation Christmas Child, & Samaritan’s Purse.
Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years whom he married November 12, 1978, Brenda (Weidner) Farley; his daughters, Regina (Kris) Wyatt of San Bernadino, CA and Bethany (Kent) Nieman of Delaware, OH; his sons, Todd (Suzi) Koons of Urbana, OH and Rob Koons of Springfield, OH; his siblings, Paul Ray Farley and LaVonne Farley; his grandchildren, Breann Koons, TJ Koons, Kenzie Koons, Chris Koons, Derek Koons, Dorian Jr. Valencia, Lorenzo Valencia, Dominic Valencia and Niki Seeberg; his 9 great grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews of several generations.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Dow and Faye (Carver) Farley and several siblings.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017 in the SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Dad, I love you so much! I hope you knew. I just got you back and now you’re gone. I wish we had more time. I remember going to Disneyland with you. I still have my charm bracelet (from the age of 3) it hurts so much to know that I wont be able to hear your voice again .
