It is hard to know what to say. My Uncle Charles is the last of his generation, in our family. He was such a sweet and calm presence. He was handsome, funny, smart and an excellent athlete. Did I mention he loved baseball? He was my mother’s brother… the youngest child, of four, growing up in a small Kentucky town. They lived in a home where education was revered. Everyone graduated from college and participated in sports and/or band. Everyone served as a teacher or a school administrator, at some point, in their career. We will miss the influence and counsel of the Greatest Generation. My dear Uncle Charles, you have touched so many lives and will be missed. Sending love to David and Cindi, and their families….
