Charma M. Hopper, 54, of Springfield, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 in her home with her family by her side.
She was born August 12, 1962 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Ralph Whitehead Sr. and Harriett (Harbour) Whitehead.
She was a graduate of Northeastern High School. She worked at Honda Manufacturing for 31 years. She was a wonderful volunteer, working at the Caring Kitchen cooking lunches as well as being part of the Catawba Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.
Charma is survived by her daughters, Crystal Hopper of Springfield and Caren (Matt) Ellinger of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandchildren, Gavin and Layne; her siblings, Sharon (Darrell) Stotler of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Anita (Greg) Price, Linda Harper and Ralph Whitehead (Theresa Hawk) all of Springfield; her adopted daughter, April (Robert) Hickman; and her “brother” Andy Durham; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Charma is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gina Lutz and Joyce Webster; and her nephew, Jimmy Durham.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in the SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.

Charma has always been one of the truest friends I have ever had the privilege to have known. She always seemed to know when she was needed by others. She will hold a special place in my heart. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed by all who knew her.
