Cheryl Chaffin, 59, of North Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in Memorial Health Hospital.

She was born April 14, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. Cheryl was a 1976 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School and retired from Bindery and Specialty in Plain City. She was a selfless, giving person who was the heart of her family, whom she loved very much. Cheryl enjoyed fishing and playing games, especially hidden object games. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 41 years, Noah Chaffin, Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer (James) Evans of Mingo; her son, Brian Chaffin (Heather Holycross) of North Lewisburg; her 4 grandchildren, Noal & Savannah Chaffin and Briar & Emma Evans; her sisters, Sandra McDonnie and Pamela Boyer; and her 7 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother, Wanda (Hillen) Windland and her father, Robert (Betty) Windland.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 12, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, Ohio 43078.

Hello chaffin family my condolences to you on this recent death of a beloved family member , I am well I think I am savannah’s Freind and I do have a message for her , savannah it will never really be okay but you can let your mind tell you it is just at the end of 2016 I did to lose a family member who was loved by everyone and your grandma is to . Everyone will miss her but now she is in a better place watching over you and she loves you and all of the family - sincerely James

I’m so sorry to hear about Cheryl’s passing. I have many nice memories of working with her at Bindery & Specialties. She was a kind, humble person with s good sense of humor. My condolences to her family. She will be missed
