July 27, 1976 - December 17, 2016
“Chilly 727” Chilton Lynn Jackson, 40, of Urbana, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family.
Chilton was born on July 27, 1976 in Springfield, Ohio to Roy Jackson and Vicki (Powell) Jackson Snapp.
Chilton attended Graham High School. He was a welder at Johnson Welding Products. Chilton was proud of 6 and a half years of sobriety with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was an avid hunter, and favored bow hunting. Chilton enjoyed mudding but his real passion was being a demolition derby driver. This was his life when he was away from his family. And now, “Chilly 727” has reached the Final Heat. He had a very tight family structure, especially devoted to his wife and daughter. He was instrumental in teaching McKenzie how to hunt, drive, turf and do all those “Daddy things” together, even using elbow grease while getting down and dirty working on the derby cars.
Chilton is survived by his wife of 10 years, BethAnn (Snelling) Jackson; daughter, McKenzie Rae Richards; his father; stepfather, Bill Snap; siblings, Dawn (Brad) Bishop, Jamie (Matt) Cotrell, Carrie Jackson, Scott Jackson, and Justin Jackson; stepbrother, Nathan (Megan) Snapp; stepsister, Lindsey (Andy) King; brother ,Jeff (Frankie) Knight; and several nieces and nephews that were dearly special to him.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Mamaw and Papaw, Mary and Randolph Jackson; Grandma, Juanita (Gatten) Powell; and Grandpa, Bernard Powell.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:30 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Renewed Strength Church, 4194 State Route 36 West, Urbana, Ohio 43078, with Pastor Mark Hackworth officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the church. In celebration of Chilly, “Let’s get it done,” and don’t forget to wear your derby attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Chilton Jackson “Chilly 727” Memorial Fund at Wright Patt Credit Union, 3560 Pentagon Blvd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45431.
Services are entrusted to VERNON FUNERAL HOME.

So sorry for your loss. I always loved hearing your stories about your husband.
Thinking about you and your family,
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. My sincere condolences to the Jackson family and friends of Chilton on your loss. May these words of Revelation 21:4 give you a measure of comfort and strength to endure during this time of grief and deep sorrow.
