Clayton Howell, 70, of North Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2008 in his residence.
He was born July 4, 1937 in North Lewisburg the son of Homer & Gertrude (Clark) Howell.
Clayton was a 1955 Graduate of North Lewisburg High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Cascade as a manufacturing engineer. Clayton enjoyed working in his garden.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Howell of Woodstock, Steve (Annette) Howell of North Lewisburg, Greg Howell of Hampton, VA and Eric Edley; three grandchildren, Dustin, Ciara and Christiana; one great grandchild, Kellen; his sisters, Marjorie Bayless of Ridgeway, Velora (Edward) Donaldson of Westerville, Betty Grimes of West Covina, CA & Gwendolyn Adams of Dayton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda A. Howell, a daughter-in-law, Sheryl (Combs) Howell, his sister, Leota Stevens and his brothers, David, Homer & Leonard Howell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008 in the funeral home with the Pastors, Rev. Kathy Reiff & Rev. Frank Summerfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
