Cleadis D. “Clet” Staffan, 79, of North Lewisburg, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in the Memorial Gables, Marysville.
He was born June 13, 1936 in South Charleston, Ohio. Clet was a 1955 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Clet retired from Chi-Vit and after retirement, he worked at Woodland Golf Course. He was a longtime Assistant Superintendent of the Ohio State Fair Dairy Goat Division. Clet was very active and enjoyed Triad Athletics. Some of his hobbies included golfing, woodworking, attending auctions & flea markets, and watching Nascar.
Clet is survived by his wife, Connie (Brown) Staffan; his daughters, Cathy Ann (Jerry) Glassburn and Betty Jean (Al) Johnson; his sons, Robert (Renee) Johnson and Drue (Mary) Staffan; his 6 grandchildren; his 7 great grandchildren; his several brothers and sisters-in-law; his cousin, Steve (Robin) Murphy; and his numerous, beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee and Mary Catherine (Murphy) Staffan; his step-mother, Bernice Miller; his cousin Pam Murphy; and his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Marge Brown.
Services to celebrate Clet’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg.

Just returned home from florida and was so sorry to see your loss of Clet. Was sitting here last night remembering the fun times we had in the sixties. I wish you well and maybe we will run into each other some day.
