Clifford W. “Cliff” Bowers, 91 of Westville, passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.
He was born April 1, 1920 in Rosewood, Ohio the son of Loren E. and Opal (Speece) Bowers .
Cliff at the age of 16 drove a school bus for Concord Schools and farmed. He retired as an Auto Mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage with lawnmowers and racing go-karts. He loved traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Jennie May (Boggess) Bowers; his sons, Don (Sue) Randall of Urbana, Loren (Bonnie) Bowers of Westville, Norman (Connie) Bowers of Mechanicsburg and Stephen (Tami) Bowers of Centerville; his grandchildren, Gregg (Dana) Randall of Columbus, Michealle (Chad) Woodruff of Urbana, Michael (Cristi) Bowers of Mechanicsburg, Melinda (Billi) Ayars of Mechanicsburg, Jesse (Bo) Bowers of Columbus, John Wesley Bowers of Mechanicsburg, Emily (Josh) Schaner of Mechanicsburg, Joel Bowers, Matthew Bowers and Jacob Bowers all of Centerville, his great grandchildren, Allison & Emily Randall, Lauren & Grant Woodruff, Ashley & Olivia Bowers, Kyle & Erin Sarka, Taylor, Audrey & Darbey Ayars, Jonathon, Jacob & Jessica Bowers, Trenton, Joey & Lucas Schaner; his sister, Helen Dibert of Urbana, sister-in-laws, Doris Bowers of Urbana and Helen Marie Bowers of Springfield; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert and Donald Bowers and an infant brother, Junior Bowers; his sisters, Dorothy McDaniel, Ruth Shaw, Mary Stevenson & Esther Boles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Hardin officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery Urbana.
