Dale L. Klingler, 84, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in his home unexpectedly.
Dale was born February 17, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late George and Edna (Wilson) Klingler. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He attended college at Bob Jones University. Dale was an electrical engineer at Rosemount Analytical. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, rose gardening, music, repairing electronics, working around the house and yard, photography and vacations. Dale was a member of the Grace Gospel Church, St. Paris, Ohio.
Dale loved keeping in touch with friends. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dale was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. He will be missed by many.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elsie (Slabach) Klingler; his daughter, Heidi (Dave) Lyons; grandchildren, Rachel (Floyd) Lyons Bierma, Leah (Brian) Lyons Hawes and Joshua Lyons(Elizabeth Craft); great grandchildren, Thomas & Mikayla Bierma and Neriah & Melchiah Hawes; brothers, Gary (Carol) Klingler and Larry (Nancy) Klingler; sister, Betty (Dave) Obinger; sisters-in-law, Ruthie Kamph, Bonnie Lowe and Sylvia (Dave) Drushell; brother-in-law, Allen (Etta Mae) Slabach as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gene (Wanda) Klingler; brothers-in-law, Richard Kamph and Norman Lowe as well as sister-in-law, Mary Slabach.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in Grace Gospel Church, 12725 Wolcott Rd, St. Paris, Ohio with Lloyd Lusk officiating. Family and friends may call from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, May 20, 2022 in the Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Ohio.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Gospel Church, 12725 Wolcott Rd, St. Paris, Ohio 43078.
