Dan M. Belville, 52 of Urbana passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born March 4, 1959 in Marysville, Ohio the son of Robert Lee and Betty L. (Cooley) Belville.
Dan was a 1977 graduate of Marysville High School. He worked for the Champaign County Highway Department for over 7 years. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed wood working, guns, motor cycles and bowling. He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church and the N.A.R.A. (North American Rifle Association).
He is survived by his mother, Betty (Marion) Miller of Lima, Ohio; his wife of 23 years, Tisha (Coy) Belville; his son Caleb Belville; his daughter, Shawna (David) Specicher of North Lewisburg; his brother, Thomas “Tom” J. (Missy) Belville of Grove City; his grandchildren, Patience, Austin and Faith; his sister in-law, Laurie Belville of Nashville, TN; his in-laws, Bob & Dale Haddix of Lakeview; as well as several nieces, nephews, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He is preceded in death by his father; his brother, David Lee Belville;
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Engle officiating. Entombment will follow at the Legacy Mausoleum in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
