So sorry to hear about his passing. Mr. Conkle was one of my teachers at High Point. I always appreciated the support in class but also the extra mile in supporting school clubs and functions.

Gonna miss ya uncle Dave. Highlighted memories: 1)your old green work van in the 70’s. Lots of overnight fishing out of that at pay lakes. 2)Remembering you getting pulled over by cops for speeding on 122 south of gratis... thought you was going to jail. 3)Your laugh. 4)The nickname you give several people when hollering at them = “pec...head”. 5)When I see a Pepsi bottle, you come to mind. Just to name a few. In your 70’s and still in construction..... Your were a part of a strong generation that created “ good times” for our generations to follow...... “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.”...(quote from an author by the name of G. Michael Hopf) Nub.

So sorry to learn of Dave’s passing. Very much enjoyed working with him during the building of our house. He gave me many suggestions and recommendations on electrical issues, one of which to this day I wish I had followed. He had a great sense of humor, always saying he was “old school.” RIP.
