Deaun (Kirk) King, 71, of Powell (formerly London, Ohio) passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2016 in the Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born April 29, 1945 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Milton and Verona (Boren) Kirk.
Deaun had worked at Ranco in Plain City and Walmart Distribution of Grove City. She was also store Manager of McDonald’s in London. She was a member of the American Legion Post #0105, London, the VFW Post, London and the Mechanicsburg Eagles #3974 Women’s Auxiliary, where she was a past president.
She was a devoted wife, and loved spending time with her family. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace. And for that, we are grateful.
She is survived by her children, Jason (Tonya) King of Grove City, Jody (Nick Rouch) Black of Mechanicsburg and Nicole (Jeff) Weikel of Powell; grandchildren, Dalton Black, Austin Black, James King and Seth King; her sisters, Joan Richardson and Nona Kirk both of Salt Lake City; one great-grandson, Owen Black, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Deaun is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill King and sister, Gaylene Harrison.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. on Saturday May 7, 2016 in the SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON funeral home, Mechanicsburg with Pastor Mimi Ault officiating.The family will receive friends from 10-1 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Plumwood Cemetery.
