Delores “Jeanie” Williams, 73, of Urbana, Ohio passed away October 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 2, 1943 in Martins Ferry, Ohio , to Wilbur Frances and Flora Mae (Duke) Snyder. She was a 1961 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. She also attended Belmont Business College. Jeanie was the resident manager of Brookside Manor for 26 years and was also a member of the Moose Lodge 429 Chapter. She was an avid bowler and was known locally as a very involved charity volunteer. She loved gardening and baking but her joy in life was her family. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Jeanie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace and for that we are grateful.
Jeanie is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Dale E. Williams, Sr.; her children, Diana Lynn Dove, Urbana, Dale ( Garrett Adams ) Williams Jr., of Columbus, Ohio and Dwyane (Kellie) Williams of Urbana; grandchildren, Josh Williams, Callie Williams, Issac Williams, Nathan Dove, Jake Dove, Coty Williams and Audrie Williams; great-grandchildren, C.J. Dove and Jordan Dove; her siblings, Clara Snyder of Washington D.C., Judy Snyder of Virginia , Rich Snyder of California, Tom Snyder of Dayton, Ohio and Jack Snyder of Kentucky.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Cheyenne Dove; siblings, Barbara Ferby, Patty Snyder, Ed Snyder, Wilbur Snyder, Don Snyder and son-in-law, Chuck Dove.
The family will like to express their special thanks to Hospice of Miami Valley for their loving care and compassion.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana where the Springfield Moose Women’s Auxiliary #429 will hold services at 5 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 10, 2016 in the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Hardin officiating.
Entombment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
