Densie Doloros “Dot” Littlejohn, age 90 of Christiansburg passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in her residence.
She was born November 23, 1917 in Casstown, Ohio, Miami County, the daughter of Verdie Eugene and Nellie Mae (Allen) Ralston.
Dot graduated from Lostcreek High School, Casstown. She enjoyed fishing and loved to travel, especially on mission trips. She attended Christiansburg United Methodist Church where she cleaned the church for many years and was past president of the United Methodist Women where she served as treasurer for many years. She was the Christiansburg Postmistress for many years. Dot was a Cook at Jackson School then Graham South Elementary from 1959 to 1974. She was a member of Olivet #538 OES where she was Worthy Matron in 1981. She was a Charter member of Christiansburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in 1951 and a member of the Farmers Garden Club in Jackson Township.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Melvin “Mel” Dale Littlejohn; daughter, Maxine Mae (Mike) Sullenberger of Christiansburg; son, Max E. (Carol) Littlejohn of Troy; grandchildren, Kent (Terri) Littlejohn of Novelty, Oh., Todd (Diane) Sullenberger of Arlington, Washington, Kim Younce of Troy, Angie (Trent) Zerkle of St. Paris; great grandchildren, Abby & Natalie Younce, Taylor and Kaitlyn Littlejohn, Rebecca Sullenberger, Maelee Zerkle; brother, Darrell (Wilma) Ralston of Celina; several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Derostus “Gene”, DeWitt, Darwin Ralston.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, at the corner of Monroe and Third Streets with Eastern Star services to be held at 5:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 11, 2008 in the church with Rev. Ron Lumm and Pastor Mark Atterholt officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery.
