Donald R. Baker, 83 of St. Paris, passed away, Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Mercy Memorial Hospital Urbana.
He was born December 25, 1931 in Utica, NY the son of the late Glen and Marjorie (Brown) Baker.
He served his country in the United States AirForce. He was a member of Harmony Lodge #8 F. & A.M., Past Master of St. Paris Lodge and member of the Alliance Lodge # 1097 in Oriskany Falls, NY. Don was very active as a clown for the Shriners. He was known as Kurly Klown; he has passed and moved on to greener pastures. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed playing with the “3 Amigos” Bernie, Scottie & Paul.
He is survived by his wife of 64 yrs, Alida (Genter) Baker, daughter, Donna M. Baker of Englewood, sons, Roland K. (Christina) Baker Sr. of St. Paris and Daniel C. (Jan) Baker Sr. of Bradford, grandchildren, Roland Jr., Scott, Ginger, Tara, Michelle, Stacey, Kimberly and Dan Jr., several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; a sister, Joyce Shepherd of Chadwicks, NY; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends, including a special grandson-in-law, Jesse.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the First Church of God, 122 E. Walnut St, St. Paris with Pastor Josh Kespelher officiating.

To the Baker Family. I met Don in the 1980’s when I was Master at Blazing Star Lodge in North Lewisburg. He was always such a fun person to be around. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.
