Eddie M. Adkins, 66, of South Vienna passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
Eddie was a graduate of Northeastern High School. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Eddie loved his family and loved fishing.
He was born January 25, 1947 in Catawba, Ohio, the son of the late Leonard and Pauline (Demory) Adkins.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie (Skelton) Adkins; daughter, Kristi Rossitto, Dublin, OH; son, Jeff (Tammy) Adkins, Springfield, OH; grandchildren, Darian, Jordan and Miyah Rossitto, Chris (Lorena) and JR (Jessica) Foster; great-grandchildren, Brynn and Elliott Foster; brothers, James (Anna) Adkins, South Charleston and Robert (Brenda) Demory, Springfield, OH; sisters, Darlene (Dan) Heffner and Ruth (Eddie) Wiseman, Catawba, OH; mother and father-in-law, Norma and Harlan Skelton, Springfield, OH; brother-in-law, Steve (Suzie) Skelton, Springfield, OH; sisters-in-law, Jeanni (Blaine) Strome, Springfield, OH and Cindi (Kurt) Feldner, Grove City, OH; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; aunts, Mary Demory, Nellie Luckett and Della Demory; uncle, Eugene Demory; nephew, Eddie Wiseman, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, May 6, 2013 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Vernon Asbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Township Fire Department, PO Box 70, Catawba, OH 43010. Condolences may be made to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
Connie and family, I just learned of Eddie’s passing, I am so sorry. He was such a good man and I know the pain you are going through. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I am so sorry Rick and I were unable to attend visitation but I wanted you to know you and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.
