Edward "Ed" Amis, 88, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Ed was the son of the late Everett and Elizabeth Amis. Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Ed is survived by his children, son, Kevin (Linda Packer) Amis, daughter, Kathy (William) Merrill; grandchildren, Alicia (Kyle Jones) Amis, Nikki (Steven) Rizer, Tyler (Amelia Rodriguez) Merrill and Zach Merrill; great grandson, Ryouma; sisters, Betty (Paul) Roe and Julie Roush as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Betty Amis; twin brother, Ernest and brothers, Sim and Roy; sister, Marjorie Tidwell
Following Ed's wishes, private services will be held at the family's convenience with Pastor Mike Stewart officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516
