Elizabeth Ann "Anne" Rittenhouse, 61, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 in Galion Pointe Nursing Home, Galion, Ohio.
She was born February 2, 1957 in Urbana, Ohio. Anne was a 1976 graduate of Urbana High. She continued after graduation supporting the Hillclimbers. She was employed for many years with Lawnview industries. Anne spent many years as a resident of Spring Meadows Care Center in Woodstock. She recently entered Galion Pointe Nursing Home. Wherever Anne was she will be remembered for her huge laugh and her demanding personality that you just fell in love with.
Anne is survived by her brother, Keith (Karen) Rittenhouse; her nephew, Joseph M. Rittenhouse; and a lifelong family friend, Sue Markley. During her years living in a nursing home, she received exceptional compassion and care from administrators Holly Lingo (and staff at Spring Meadows), and Greg Bratton (and staff at Galion Pointe).
She is having a celebration in heaven with her parents, David R. & Priscilla (Kenton) Rittenhouse; her husband, John Hennigan; and her niece, Emily Rachel Rittenhouse.
Memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:30 A.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation could be made to either of the following: Urbana First United Methodist Church or First Presbyterian Church. It truly saddens me that Annie will no longer be with us. I always enjoyed talking with her and teasing her and listening to her laugh. She was a kind soul. Heaven has truly gained another angel and her name is Annie. Condolences to her family and prayers of comfort.
