Ellen Jean Bradley, 66 of West Liberty, passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 21, 1945 in Peebles, Ohio the daughter of Glendon Franklin and Marjorie Florence (Butts) Nichols.
Jean was a member of Wesley Chapel Baptist Church. She was an outgoing and kind person that loved to take care of people and children. Jean was compassionately known to many as grandma.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, her church family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Virgil E. Bradley; her sons, Jeffrey W. (Nancy) Bradley and Jerry A. Bradley both of Urbana, her grandchildren, Felicia, Alicia, Kelli, Jasper, Zachery and Kyle; and numerous great grandchildren, her sisters, Glenda Johnson of Berea, KY and Joyce Thatcher of Peebles, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends, including, Lori Boyd, Urbana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael E. Bradley, a brother Jerry Nichols, and brother-in-laws, Frick Johnson and George Thatcher.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Wesley Chapel Baptist Church, Urbana. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
