Elva M. Bollack, 97 formerly of North Lewisburg, passed away, Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.
She was born March 9, 1916 in Miami County, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Mary Etta (Davis) Karns.
Elva was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Raymond. She enjoyed living in Cherry Arbors, walking, word puzzles and was an avid reader. Elva will be fondly remembered by the North Lewisburg community as the “Can Lady” for her efforts to keep the community clean.
She was dearly loved by her family; her survivors include, her daughter, Judy (Rodney) McGill of Urbana, her sons, Lynn (Susan) Niswonger, Lee (Debby) Niswonger both of DeGraff and Larry (Louise) Niswonger of Bellefontaine; step son, Carly (Linda) Bollack, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Bollack; her children, Mary Ann Bollack & Jim Niswonger, granddaughter, Stacie Faulder, step children, Katie Blamer & John Bollack and her siblings, Catherine Phillips and Herb Karns.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery.
