Ethel M. (Gibson) Wagner, 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Sunday, March 7, 2010 in Mercy Memorial Hospital Urbana.
She was born July 1, 1922 in Braddock, PA the daughter of the late Richard & Frances (Hixenbaugh) Magnuson.
Ethel retired in 1989 from Ranco Controls after 21 years of service in Plain City. She was a member of the Bellefontaine Friendly Senior Center. Ethel faithfully
attended the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union for over 31 years.
She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Wagner whom she married on Aug. 1st 1987; her daughter, Shirley (Bob) Adelsberger of West Jefferson and her children, Wendy (David) Baust, Doug (Jill) Adelsberger & Debra (Richard) Forrest; her son, Ron (Jo Ellen) Gibson of West Jefferson and his children, Tricia (Jared) Bell, Spencer (Jenifer) Gibson, Ellen (Mike) Cox & Kevin Gibson; 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Eleanor of Columbus, Ohio; step children, Mike Wagner of London and Vickie (Jerry) Holland of West Jefferson and 4 step grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard and a granddaughter, Tiffany Gibson.
It was Ethel’s wish to donate her body to the Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
