Garnett R. Knisley, 74, of Springfield passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Forest Glen Health Campus, Springfield.


She was born July 18, 1937 in Mechanicsburg the daughter of Carl R. and Ruth (Ballard) Knox.


Garnett was a lifetime member of the Country Church in Catawba and she loved spending time with her family.


She is survived by her sons, Steven (Deana) Knisley of Springfield, Michael (Denise) Knisley of London and Ronald Knisley of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Michael Knisley II, Trudi Stroup, Amy Von Vorous, Richard Knisley II, Rosalynn Knisley, Shane Knisley and Sharon Knisley; her brothers, Robert (Georgia) Knox of Washington Court House and Larry Thomas Knox of Catawba; her sister, Roberta (Robert) Stonerock of Mechanicsburg; numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.


She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Knisley; her son, Richard; her brothers, Willard, Dale, and Carl, Jr. Knox; her sisters, Mary Leach and Linda Hilderbrand.


Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the Country Church in Catawba with Rev. Glen McIntosh officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will follow in McConkey Cemetery, Catawba.
