Helen A. Paugh, 79, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, June 21, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born December 1, 1938 in East Liverpool, Ohio. Helen was a founding member of the Colonial Baptist Church, New Carlisle, Ohio. She retired after many years of service as head cook with Greenon High School.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and camping. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace. And for that, we are grateful.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glen Paugh; her children, Kim (Tim) Ruddick, Debi (Shane) Montgomery, Cindy (Jack) Lay and Steve (Debbie) Paugh, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; her sister, Sue (George) Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Phyllis (Woods) Davis and her siblings, Ralph, Keith, Lewis, Wanda and Nita.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, 257 W. Main St. Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Marvel officiating.
Entombment will follow in Rosehill Burial Park, Springfield, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at the Colonial Baptist Church, 8963 Milton Carlisle Rd, New Carlisle, Ohio 45344.

So truly sorry for your loss. But yet rejoicing that Helen is with her Savior and Lord. I miss singing in the soprano section with her. She had a lovely voice and beautiful smile. Praying for peace and comfort for the family.
