Herman Franklin Anderson, 80, of Mechanicsburg went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Forest Glen Health Campus, Springfield.
He was born July 19, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Elden Edmond and Bertha Marie (Stephens) Anderson.
Herman was a member of the Hillside Church of God in Springfield. He was a truck driver for 53 years delivering building materials to many contractors. He retired in 2005 from Springfield Concrete Products.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth “Darlene” (Spaulding) Anderson; daughter, Sherry Lynne (Alan) Lias of Springfield; sons, Jerry Raymond (Deb) Anderson of West Liberty, Franklin Eugene (Cindy) Anderson of Mechanicsburg, Robert Lynn (Alexa) Anderson of Mechanicsburg; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother, Norman Anderson of Springfield; sisters, Lenora Wegner and Alice Copeland both of Dayton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thurman and Howard; sisters, Opal Knox, Hazel Evans and Orilla Snyder
Funeral service will be held at 12:00p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the Hillside Church of God in Springfield with Pastors Mike Criner and Timothy Downing officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 10a.m. to 12p.m.
Services have been entrusted to Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
