Ian E. “Hambone” Hamby, 30 of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Sunday,
May 23, 2010 following an accident.He was born February 6, 1980 in
Columbus, Ohio.Ian was a 1998 graduate of Madison
Plains High School. He was an independent truck driver contracting
with McGuire Trucking. He loved diesel trucks and John Deere Tractors. Ian enjoyed his semi truck, truck pulls, farming and hanging out with his friends; Most importantly he cherished his daughters.
Ian is survived by his parents, Rick and Debbie (Dorn) Hamby of Whitley City, KY, his daughters, Morgan and Haley Hamby of Mechanicsburg, the mother of his children, Jenny Kearfott, maternal grandmother, Vernamae Dorn of London, paternal grandparents, Richard and Helen Hamby Whitley City, KY, several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Dorn and his sister, Leslie Hamby.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home Mechanicsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the funeral home with Pastor Gordon Ell officiating.
Burial will follow in Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia, Ohio.
