Ivolue Carter, 82 of North Lewisburg passed away, Friday, May 29, 2009 in Spring Meadows Care Center, Woodstock.
She was born October 26, 1926 in Cable, the daughter of the late Perry and Viola Helen Orahood. She married Roscoe Carter, April 28, 1945; he preceded her on death, January 9, 2008.
Ivolue graduated from Middleburg School. She also loved to go camping with her family.
Ivolue is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Robert Leonard) Kennedy of Cable, OH, her sons, Steve (Linda) Carter of North Lewisburg & Jerry “Doc” Carter of Urbana, her grandchildren, Holly Tussing of North Lewisburg, Charlene (Dana) Haulman of St. Paris, Chastity (Josh) Williams of Mechanicsburg, Joshua (Kathy) Carter of LaRue, Tara (Terry) Thompson of Richwood, Jamie Jo Horseley of Urbana and Jason Hanger of Urbana, her step grandsons, Rob (Kim) Drum of Richwood and Chris (Ashley) Drum of Prospect, her great grandchildren, Dain & Dustin Haulman, Carter Reese, Dylan, Madelyn, Weston & Wyatt Drum, and Dylan M. Daniels, her brothers, Raymond Orahood, Ralph Orahood, her sisters, Ruth Hildreth & Mary Lou Hildreth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home North Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the funeral home with the Pastor Richard Keeran officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
