James E. Conley, 82 of Urbana, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Heartland of Urbana.
He was born August 30, 1930 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, the son of Millard and Alice (Lewis) Conley.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Cooper Energy
Services. He was devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed helping his sons with home
remodeling and woodworking projects. He attended the Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann (Matthews) Conley; two sons, James (Maria) Conley,
and Michael Conley; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lou Conley and a brother, Wilbur
(Donna) Conley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were four brothers Francis, Proctor, Everett, and Herbert
Conley; five sisters, Loraine Conley, Lois Coburn, Ellen Charles, Olva Burnheimer, and Christine Redden
and a great-grandson, Noah Michael Woomer.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the SKILLMAN,
MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.
on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the funeral home with Pastor Linden Good officiating. Burial will follow
at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Charleston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor’s Favorite
