Dear Jim's family: My late husband and I first met Jim soon after we arrived in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1958. We enjoyed a wonderful friendship for more than 55 years, and when my husband passed away, I continued contact with Jim via lunch or phonecalls. Jim was very well-liked in Saudi and a true friend in need in Austin where we also settled - he house hunted for us prior to our arrival! Sorry I was not aware of the Memorial Service in Austin - I would like to have attended. He often spoke of his Ohio family and it was clear he treasured you. We will always treasure the memory of Jim, a true friend to the end. Rest in peace, dear Jim.

I've known Jim for many years here in Austin and through our connection to Saudi Arabia. He was a wonderful family friend and like an Uncle to me. I have very fond memories of our times together. He will be greatly missed! God bless.
