James L. Griffin, 81 of North Lewisburg, passed away, Sunday, April 23, 2017 in his home.
He was born May 15, 1935 in Logan County and was a graduate of East Liberty High School. He retired, after 45 years of service from Super Foods as a lift truck operator.
James was a member of the Hi-Point Music, Indian Lake Moose and Teamsters.
He is survived by his sons, James “Bob” (Donna) Griffin and Charles (Lori) Griffin, his daughters, Dianna Moler, Victoria (Michael) Ray and Karen Poteet; 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, his sisters, Lois Hall, Betty Oats, Linda Kerns, Judy Painter and Janet Sherwood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Janet (McCubbin) Griffin, his wife of 61 years at her passing, Marylyn V. (Bozman) Griffin, siblings, Laura Jean and LeRoy (Theresa) Griffin and a son-in-law, Michael Moler.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Sarver officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
