Janice Armstrong, 80 of St. Paris, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Janice was born August 20, 1940 in West Liberty, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert and Violet (Humble) Birt. She was a lifelong member of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was a graduate of the first consolidated class of 1958 at Graham High School. In school, Janice was a FFA Queen and a cheerleader. She specialized in being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Janice enjoyed sewing, reading and doing puzzles, being a 4-H advisor and a Sunday School teacher.

Janice is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Armstrong; children, Teri (Mike) Phillips, Tim (DeAnne) Armstrong, Tammy (Mike) McCall and Tonia Snyder; grandchildren, Erica (Jonathan) Grossman, Wes Ropp, Bobby, David and Joseph (Sarah) Armstrong, Doug (Kylie) McCall and Tyler Snyder; 8 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joanne Birt, Ray (Barbara) Woodward and Loretta Vernon as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Robert "Bussy" Birt and Phyllis (Fred) Pestke; brothers-in-law, Larry Vernon and John (Betty) Armstrong.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastors David Van Hoose and Mike Grable officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-12 noon prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice's memory to the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1121 Main Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078.

I'll always treasure the memories of our restoring that northern Concord twp. cemetery, the cows and bull we had to go thru to get to it, playing cards, video games, family events, fair, etc. I and everyone will miss you but you'll live with us in spirt till we meet again. Love you always.

Bill and Family, I am sorry to learn of Janice’s passing. I have fond memories of her friendship as we were cheerleaders and of being classmates.
