Janice P. Lockard, 89, of DeGraff, passed away, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born May 24, 1926 in Syracuse, NY. Janice was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was known for her kind heart and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Zoe (Steve) Reynolds, Marianne (Tom) Bowles and Jessica Berner, her sons, Zack (Susan) Lockard, Andy Lockard and Tim Lockard; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Irene Caroline (Weisend) Paltz and her husband, who died in 1988, Robert C. Lockard.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg with Father Larry Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow in McConkey Cemetery, Catawba.
