Jason Tyler Edwards, 56 yrs, of Urbana, passed away, Monday, June 6, 2011 in Heartland of Urbana.
He was born February 9, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio to the son of Lewis and Mary Cathrine (McCluskey) Edwards.
Jason was the owner of Edwards Well Drilling for over 20 years. He was always interested in steam engines, threshing machines, oil pulls, tractors, anything old. Jason could get anything to run after a few hours of tinkering with it. He would spend the summers with his wife and kids at Mad River Steam Shows, Plain City, West Liberty Steam Show and many more places. Jason was most passionate about his Rumley Oil Pulls. He was a member of the Mad River Steam Gas Association, Plain City Steam Threshers Association, West Liberty Salem Steam Threshers, Greenville Steam Show, Rumley Oil Pull Association, Model A Ford and many of those associations he was the VP or President of for several years. Jason was very active with the Threshing machines and steam association. He spend most of his time with his beloved dog Sam and traveled back and forth from Ohio to Wyoming to visit with his children and grandchildren. Jason loved tooling around in “Irene ” the Model A Ford, with his friend Rick and telling stories about the ol’ days, he was a walking history book.
He is survived by his sons, Ben (Joellen) Edwards of St. Paris, OH, Adam Edwards of Rozet, WY; his daughters, Kelly (Phillip) Marcinko of Gillette, WY and Leah Edwards of West Liberty, OH; his brother, Joe Edwards and sisters, Peggy and Lois; grandchildren Ethan, Eli, Luc , Izzy, Layla, Layne, Hunter, Lacey, Jason, Tucker, Mya, Lillian and Eion ; several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vallery G. Edwards; brother, Richard “Dicky” Edwards; granddaughter, Emma V. Edwards; his beloved buddy’s & friend’s, Rumley, “Unmy “.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 in the St. Paris United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Kepple officiating.
