Jerry A. Bostick, 71, of Woodstock, passed away on Sunday May 1, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Jerry was born on August 15, 1944 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Dorothy (Miller) Bostick and Lawrence Bostick. He proudly served in the National Guard for 6 years. Jerry retired from Grimes Manufacturing in 2005 following 38 years of service. He was a pee wee football coach for 36 years, served on the fair board for 28 years and loved showing his 68 Camero in car shows.
Jerry is survived by his wife Teresa “Candy”; daughter Brooke (Daryl) Hines of Paris, KY; sisters, Martha Akers of Mechanicsburg, Ellen “Jeanne” (Mark) Strong of St. Paris and Kelsey (Jeff Bayes) Bostick; brothers, Larry Bostick, Howard (Sharon) Bostick, Bill (Kayceal) Bostick, David Bostick, Charles Bostick, Steve (Crystal) Bostick and Duane (Laura) Bostick all of Mechanicsburg, OH; granddaughters Coraline Hines, Lena Hines and grandson Lukas Hines of Paris, KY along with several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday May 5, 2016 in the SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mechanicsburg Youth Football Program or to the Champaign County Cancer Society at PO Box 38125 Urbana, OH 43078 or the American Heart Association 5455 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.

I’m so glad I got to meet Jerry on several occasions. He loved his family and it was such a joy to see him with Coraline. Sending loving and healing thoughts to Candy and Brooke. Love you ladies.

Jerry was always the closest to my age and at Grandma’s house we were tight.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Jerry was such a nice man. He supported the Mechanicsburg Softball team and my daughter Jordan who graduated in 2013 was very fond of Jerry. He will be sadly missed. The Hux Family
