John Blackburn, 64 of Huntsville, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in his home.
He was born July 17, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio. John was a graduate of Fairbanks High School. He retired from Nash Finch as a ware houseman and was a member of Teamsters Local #908, Lima. John was also a member of the Mechanicsburg Eagles # 3974 F.O.E. and the Sons of Amvets.
He enjoyed tinkering on anything, playing pool, golf, riding his Harley and football; most of all watching his boys play sports and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Jesse (Lindsay) Blackburn, Chase (Megan) Blackburn, Xavier Anderson, significant other, Maleah Anderson, his grandchildren, Landyn, Bentley, Wyatt, Jameson & Elliotte; his sisters, Mary Blackburn, Kathy (Randy) Williams, Tammy (Randy) Collins, his brothers, Chuck Blackburn, Bruce (Judy) Blackburn, Mike Blackburn & Tony (Brenda) Blackburn as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Kenneth & Madaline (Moore) Blackburn
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME in North Lewisburg, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the funeral home with Pastor Russell Street officiating. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, Ohio.
