Judith Lorraine Sherman Michael, age 61, of Rowlett, TX was born on February 19, 1949 and went home to be with her Savior on May 27, 2010.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard Allen Michael; her precious daughter, Jennifer Lynn Michael; brothers, Rev. Bert Sherman and his wife Diane of Mechanicsburg, Ed Sherman and his wife Goldie of Auburn, Indiana, Rev. Lowell Sherman and his wife Barbara of Arlington, Texas, Terry Sherman and his wife Julie of Mechanicsburg; sisters, Janet Shipley and Brenda Dixon and her husband Gale both of Mechanicsburg; her sister-in-laws, Eloise Sherman of Wayne, West Virginia and Mary “Dissie” Sherman of Mechanicsburg; her brother-in-laws, Roger Fultz of Urbana and Larry Hampton of Anitoch, TN., and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Manuel Irvin and Dixie Gertrude Sherman; brothers, Rev. Bill Sherman, Benny Sherman, Bob Sherman and his wife Ilene, Dickey Sherman; sisters, Betty Hill, Glendine Fultz, Vonnie Hampton and Jane Tull and her husband Bernie.
She also had special “adopted” children and grandchildren who have richly blessed her life.
Judy accepted the Lord as her savior at the age of 13 and immediately began serving Him.
She was an active member of New Heights Baptist Church of Wylie, TX where she used her gifts of teaching and singing to worship her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to witness for Christ and used her last days on earth to spread His Gospel.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in the Mechanicsburg Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Foster officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Condolence may be made to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
