Judith “Judy” Kay Wilson, 80, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 in Mercy Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of John Raymond and Kathryn M. (Grube) Teach.
Judy grew up in Terre Haute, Ohio and was a 1954 graduate of Westville High School. She was a member of the Fifth Lutheran Church, Springfield. She had previously worked at Lagonda Bank and the Duplex Mill in Springfield, before retiring after 27 years as a unit secretary at Mercy Medical Center. Judy was a proud and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved and cherished her family. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her we will find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace and for that we are grateful.
Judy is survived by her husband, Ronald, whom she married June 9, 1957 in Springfield, their children, Werner Walter (Theresa) Wilson of Marysville, Ohio, Joel Allen (Debby) Wilson of West Liberty, Ohio and Wanda Eloise Wilson (Patrick Hughes) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandchildren, Jacob Werner Wilson, Ashlee Kathryn Wilson, Meranda Jean Wilson, Austin Allen Wilson, Colin Wade Wilson, Jocelyn Marie Wilson and Julia Kathleen Hughes as well as several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 half-sisters, Janice Kirklin and Wanda Blaney.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 in the funeral home with Rev. Carol Gesalman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the WhereHouse, – Urbana United Methodist Church, 238 N. Main Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
