Julia Marie (Blair) Loverde, 73, of Urbana, passed away October 20, 2015 due to complications from a fall. Julia was born November 20, 1941, the second of eight children born to Dorothy (Dennie) and Darius Blair in West Liberty, Ohio.
Julia was raised in Logan and Champaign counties. She was a 1960 graduate of Zanesfield Monroe High School. Julia married her husband, David F. Loverde, on June 28, 1964. She worked for G.C. Murphy (5 & Dime Store) in Urbana for many years and for K-Mart from 1977-1997. Julia was an active member of the St. Mary Catholic Church for 50 years and was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed reading, baking cookies, and going on lunch dates with her K-Mart family. Julia loved going on vacations with her family, taking long walks on the beach, hand in hand with her loving husband. Most of all, Julia loved spending quality time with her family and granddaughters.
Julia leaves behind her husband of 51 years, David F. Loverde; her sons, David (Janie) Loverde, Jr. of Kenton and Michael (Amber) Loverde of Urbana; her two granddaughters, Morgan H. Loverde and Taylor E. Loverde; her two brothers, Harvey (Ellen) Blair of New Mexico and Jim Blair of Bellefontaine; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Mary Ross, Barbara Gingrey, Suzie Joy, Tom Blair, and Robert Blair; and her grandchild, Vincent M. Loverde.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 26, 2015 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Urbana, with Father Larry Gearhart Celebrant.

Julia was such a sweet lady. I worked with her at Kmart & really enjoyed the time I got to spend with her. I know she will be missed. My thoughts & prayers are with her family.
