Karen S. Rogan, 54 of Columbus, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
She was born December 7, 1960 in Urbana, Ohio and was a 1978 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg.
Karen was a registered nurse and spent her career working for different nursing homes. Most recently she was assistant director of nursing with Isabelle Ridgeway Long Term Care in Columbus. Karen enjoyed shopping but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her mother, Doris (Lucas) Rogan of Columbus, formerly of Urbana, her sister, Martina (David) Revels-Rogan of Columbus
her brothers, Mike (Gloria) Rogan of Columbus, Timothy (Bambi) Rogan of Columbus, Kevin Rogan of Columbus and Marvin (Dawn) Rogan of Gahanna; 15 nieces & nephews and a host of great nieces & nephews and other relatives and friends, including special aunt, Zola Rogan, special cousins, Linda Granger, Gloria Holloway, Marilyn Wright and Nancy Rhea and special lifelong friends, Shari Booth, Shelly Keeler, Barb Jones and Tammy Jones.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis “LC” Rogan and her sister, Beverly Rogan.
A Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. The family will receive friends from 11-2 prior.
Burial will follow Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Sorry for your loss, Karen was a very kind woman.
My heart and prayers go to you and your family. I smile with the memories I have of her and hope that your sorrow will lessen with time. Karen was very special and I remember her smile. She lived her life caring for others and she was very good at it.
