Kenneth “Kenny” Gaver, 63, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 in his home.
He was born September 8, 1950, in Urbana, OH, son of the late Carl and Peggy (Arnold) Gaver.
Kenneth Eugene Gaver was his given name but he was better known as Kenny, and also known as Brown Shark, Marcell Leadbetter, or Kenny G. He graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1969 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Kenny spent 38 years as an owner/operator truck driver with over 4 million miles under his belt and numerous safe driving awards. He enjoyed owning and riding his 2000 Harley Ultra classic motorcycle. For the past 4 years he has been battling stage 4 metastatic prostrate cancer. His wife, Keran, has been fighting with him since the first day they met in February 2010. Kenny is now home with Jesus!
Kenny is survived by his wife, Keran (Lambert) Gaver; daughters, Maren Gaver (Thad Stickney) of Urbana and Abby (Jimmy) Easton of Bellefontaine, 2 grandchildren and another due August 22, 2014, step-sons, Lucas, Winston and Jordan Zumaeta; brothers; Phillip (Juanita) Gaver, of Elizabeth WV, Dave (Diane) Gaver of Springfield and Mike (Annie) Gaver of Arlington, TX
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Bob & Judy Denune’s Farm where Kenny & Keran reside, 11452 St. Rt. 29, Mechanicsburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual where military honors will be provided by American Legion Donald Canon Post #238.

I’m very sorry for your loss. Keran, you must be an amazing woman and I am glad you were there for Kenny throughout his illness. Your love and devotion to him are exemplary. I will be praying for all the family.
