Kenny was my hero on the football field! As a kid, we’d park our carin the east end zone after my dad got off work and go to my aunt Lora Tobias’ house. He was the toughoust, most humble football player I’d seen growing up! I asked him to coach with us and he said he didn’t know anything about coaching. What he didn’t know was how he was admired and revered for what he was as a football legend in the community! He helped us bring a lot of pride back in the Burg football family! Anne, girls and families, I am so sorry y for your loss! He was a warm and gentle soul off the field, yet a true warrior on the field! I will always remember that soft, warm smile with which he greeted everyone! Prayers for peace and comfort! The world lost a beautiful human being!

Kenny and Jim, while friends in high school, developed a closer connection later in life even though there were many miles between them geographically.
