Kimberley Carol Wheeler, 46, of Catawba went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 24, 2011 in Heartland of Urbana.
She was born November 4, 1964 in Malcom Grow Hospital, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, the daughter of Ronald E. and the late Connie Sue (Fairchild) Wheeler.
Kim was a 1983 graduate of Northeastern High School. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Baptist Church. Kim was an Independent Avon Sales Representative for 28 years; where she earned numerous awards from the Honor Society. Kim belonged to the Catawba Pleasant Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and she dispatched for the department for over 20 years. She was a very good servant of God and spent her last days working for the Lord.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Ronald E. and Geraldine (Pence) Wheeler of South Vienna; sister, Constance Elaine Wheeler of Springfield; stepsister, Denise (Kevin) Peterman of Plumwood; stepbrothers, Carl Castle of Chillicothe, Doug Castle and Todd (Crystal) Castle both of Plumwood; as well as several nieces and nephews and special friend Ilene Rohrer.
Kim is preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents, Rev. Ray and Emma (Chandler) Wheeler; maternal grandparents, Laney RC and Eura Mae (Van Hoose) Fairchild; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the SKLLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Catawba/Pleasant Township Fireman Service will be held at 7 p.m. Kim’s Going Home Party will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Buddy Tuttle and Rev. Jay Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual.
