Lee Otis Moore, 75 of Mechanicsburg passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 in his home.


He was born July 28, 1937 in Ewing, Virginia the son of Thomas and Rosie (Scott) Moore.


Lee enjoyed gardening, going to church, spending time with his family, watching western movies and listening to gospel music, especially Jimmy Swaggart.


Daddy is now with our Lord, and Mommy is standing there to greet him in heaven, together, and all that awaits him. Daddy will be sadly missed, but now he is happy to be in Gods mist.


He is survived by his children, Bernice (Bruce) Foremen of Bellefontaine, OH, Alyce Gregg of Urbana, OH, and Charles (Alicia) Moore of Mechanicsburg, OH; his 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; his brothers, Jim Moore and William (Jane) Moore both of Springfield, OH, Willard (Brenda) Moore of Ewing, VA; his sisters, Mae Cliford of Ewing, VA, Naomi Davis of Springfield, OH; Dorothy (Steve) Daniels of Conover, OH; and his numerous nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Laura “Leona” (Johnson) Moore; his son, Roger D. Moore; his sisters, Ruby Milton, Shirley Moore, and Mary Jane Muncie; and his brothers, Charles and Clifford Moore.


A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
