Lillie Mae (Stucky) Johnson, age 96 of Mechanicsburg passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 in the Sterling House of Springfield. She was born August 15, 1911 in Elyria, Kansas, the daughter of Valentine and Ida (Schrag) Stucky.
Lillie was a long time member of Emery Chapel United Methodist Church in Springfield. She volunteered at Community Hospital in Springfield for many years and she loved to fish with her family.
She is survived by daughters, Leola (Lee) Mathews of Aurora, Colorado, Arlene (Lew) Hohenstein of Mechanicsburg; sons, Dennis (Elizabeth) Johnson of Melbourne, Florida, Terry Johnson of Kent, Ohio, Bruce (Annalei) Johnson of W. Melbourne, Florida; 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 29 years, Arley Johnson; daughter-in-laws Maureen Johnson and Nancy Johnson; sisters, Alma Sitts, Bertha Albright, Florence Kaufman, Irene Kaufman, and Ruth Wiebe; brother, Albert Stucky; great great grandson, Gavon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg with Pastor William S. Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park, Springfield. The family would like to thank everyone at the Sterling House of Springfield for their care and compassion to Lillie.
