Linda Sue Zaweski 64, of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Friday, August 23, 2013 in the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Hospital, Dayton.
She was born December 18, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Shawnee High School and was instrumental in the monthly gathering of the alumni association. She was a very creative individual; she enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, refinishing antique furniture, upholster, carpentry, ceramics, photography, creating special occasion cards & photo albums and decorating for the holidays. She also, enjoyed gardening, landscaping designs and going to flea markets. Family was important to her and she loved preserving family history. Linda will be missed by her family and friends for her wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Peter F. Zaweski Jr., her mother, Donna Hayden Conner & Paul Berry of Springfield, her son, Eric J. Zaweski of Mechanicsburg, a granddaughter, Alexis C. Zaweski; sister, Penny (Jeff) Tope of Athens, Ohio, her brother, Guy (Pam) Conner of New Plymouth, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Guy Conner A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg; where funeral services will follow at 4:00 with Steve Green officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.

No words are fitting for how I feel. I have lost my BEST friend. There will always be a void. I am so thankful that our friendship lasted for nearly 50 years.
